aside Polk Street LGBTQ Cultural Heritage Workshop

Calling all Lower and Middle Polk Residents – past and present!

We want you to SHARE YOUR STORIES!

The Lower Polk Neighbors are teaming up with the Middle Polk Neighborhood Association to host a workshop with the San Francisco Planning Department to discuss the LGBTQ cultural heritage of Polk Street as a part of the citywide LGBTQ Cultural Heritage Initative.

The city of San Francisco is assembling a public LGBTQ citywide Cultural Heritage Working Group comprised of individual community members, organizations, nightlife, and cultural heritage stakeholders. The goal is to contribute to the development of a strategy on topics like cultural celebration, place-making, entertainment, community services, community preservation, and economic opportunities.

We will be hosting a workshop to discuss the cultural heritage of Polk Street. We want you to share your stories, your knowledge, and your ideas highlighting LGBTQ history in the context of our neighborhood!

When: Tuesday, March 14th, 2017 @ 6:30pm
Where: Saint Paulus Lutheran Church, 1541 Polk Street (Polk & Sacramento)

REFRESHMENTS WILL BE PROVIDED!
