aside Austin Alley is now ‘Lower Polk Plaza’ for Duration of Shared Spaces

Austin Alley has been renamed “Lower Polk Plaza” for the duration of the Shared Public Spaces program. The alley has been closed to through traffic for outdoor dining. The Lower Polk Community Benefit District has taken the lead on the street closure, partnering with neighboring restaurants like El Lopo, Aicha, Ben Thai, Vegan Picnic, and Batter Bakery, making it possible for the restaurants to utilize the seating.

You can visit Austin Alley and support the local businesses Tues – Sunday 3-9pm (Hours may change). Be sure to wear a mask!
